To start screen, simply type it as shown below and hit Enter: screen I use Docker for Windows which works amazingly and has it good perf but sometimes I want to test on a full Ubuntu Desktop. On Fedora, you type the following: sudo dnf install screen. To be frank, historically Ubuntu has sucked on Window's Hyper-V.

According to the manual you can "resume" only detached screens: '-ls [match]' '-list [match]' Do not start screen, but instead print a list of session identification strings (usually of the form pid.tty.host; see Session Name).
